Chief Program Officer, Americas at Village Capital
As Chief Program Officer for the Americas at Village Capital, Matt Zieger oversees teams based across the US and Latin America responsible for finding, training and supporting diverse early-stage entrepreneurs solving some of the world’s most important problems in economic opportunity and sustainability. Founded in 2009, Village Capital is the world’s leading accelerator network and investor in seed stage impact entrepreneurs. They have directly accelerated the growth of over 1,300 startups operating in 70 countries, and directly invested in more than 110 that have gone on to raise more than $5 Billion in capital and directly serve more than 40 million people.
Prior to joining Village Capital in 2018, Matt spent nearly two decades working to advance how private sector investment can better solve societal problems and improve economic opportunity. He has been a foundation executive, entrepreneur, nonprofit CEO, angel investor, and served two governors as a state economic development leader where he led some of the earliest efforts to understand and support the outsized impacts of high growth companies.
Outside of work, Matt is most often, well…outside. Usually climbing a mountain or paddling a kayak around Seattle, and nearly always with his two adventurous kids and the love of his life, Lisa.
