Ed oversees the public manager investment effort and assists in managing the private investment program for Richard K. Mellon and Sons and the Richard King Mellon Foundation. He has over 26 years of experience in family office, foundation, and corporate treasury investing. Over the course of his career, he has managed public and private equity, along with various fixed income asset classes.
Ed joined Richard K. Mellon and Sons / Richard King Mellon Foundation in 2009. As a senior investment officer, he is currently responsible for managing and sourcing all public investments, including global equities and traditional fixed income asset classes. Additionally, Ed assists the chief investment officer in managing the private asset program. He is a Finance Committee member for the Richard King Mellon Foundation.
Previously, Ed served as a senior investment officer at BNY Mellon Wealth Management (Family Office for 9 years) where he was responsible managing all investments for several relationships. Ed also spent nearly five years working for Ford Motor Company (General Auditor’s Office and Treasurer’s Office).
Ed received his B.S. in Finance from Penn State University and Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a CFA charterholder and currently a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Pittsburgh. Ed serves on the board of the Valley School of Ligonier and the Ligonier Valley Endowment.
