Doug Sisson, CFA:

Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer, Richard K. Mellon & Sons; Trustee, Vice President & Treasurer, Richard King Mellon Foundation & R.K. Mellon Family Foundation

Doug oversees the investment effort for Richard K. Mellon and Sons and the Richard King Mellon Foundation.  He has over 35 years of experience in pension fund, foundation, and family office investing.  Over the course of his career, he has managed public and private equity, fixed income, and real estate asset classes.

Doug joined Richard K. Mellon and Sons / Richard King Mellon Foundation in 2002.  As chief investment officer, he is currently responsible for managing and sourcing all investments, including private market funds such as buyouts, distressed debt, real assets, and venture capital.  Additionally, he assists in the oversight of the public equity and fixed income portfolios.  He is a member of the Richard K. Mellon and Sons Investment Committee, serves as head of the Finance Committee member for the Richard King Mellon Foundation and R. K. Mellon Family Foundation; he also serves on the Audit Committee of the Richard King Mellon Foundation and the R. K. Mellon Family Foundation.

Previously, Doug served as chief investment officer of the Ohio School Employees Retirement System pension fund where he was responsible for all investment activities.  Before that, he was a senior real estate portfolio manager for the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio pension fund from 1986-1996.    

Doug received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Master of Business Administration in Finance from Ohio State University.  He is a CFA charter holder and currently a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) Institute and the CFA Society of Pittsburgh.  Doug serves on the board of the Latrobe Area Hospital Foundation and is a member of its Finance Committee.
